Reflecting on the past is an excellent way to measure success, celebrate our achievements, and prepare for the future. In 2022, Posh experienced growth in terms of talent and the acquisition of new clients. We also continued to build the best conversational AI for financial institutions. Here are some highlights from the year:
Onward
In 2021, we closed the year with the announcement of our Series A fundraising, which contributed to the high growth, investment in R&D, and expansion of our capabilities. That energy was not lost in 2022, as we successfully closed our third round of CUSO funding, which included investors and clients.
“MIT FCU is excited to have made an investment in the Posh CUSO. As our members’ needs continue to evolve, we need to partner with fintechs that will assist with our strategies to better serve our members and quite honestly, exceed their expectations,” said MIT FCU President/CEO Rui Domingos. “Our credit union serves members nationwide and tools like chatbots will enable us to serve these members anytime, anywhere.”
People Power Posh
In 2022, we added 48 people to the team! As a spread workforce, our Poshies are all over; we expanded from four states to 21 states and two provinces in Canada.
All of our teams encouraged the talent and capabilities of team members–increasing the knowledge base for our clients. Our tapestry of diverse, brilliant employees has built an exceptional foundation for the future of Posh. We spotlit some this year, here’s your chance to meet them again:
- Michelle Earle, Head of Client Solutions
- Cheyanne Baird, NLP Research Scientist
- Tom Breese, Principal Software Engineer at Posh
- Derek Caneja, Head of Engineering at Posh
- Kathy Sianis, Head of Client Strategy
- Jack McGrath, Client Engineer II at Posh
Our Poshies even provided insight all year about their time at Posh.
“The team at Posh is warm, talented, and collaborative. We're building a culture in which people can tackle the kinds of problems they find most interesting, and really see their impact on the business. I enjoy working at Posh for nailing that sweet spot: spirited teamwork & creative problem-solving,” Rohan Shirali, Head of Analytics.

30 Under 30
This year, Poshies celebrated the announcement of Co-founders Karan Kashyap (CEO) and Matt McEachern (CTO) being included in 2022’s Forbes 30 Under 30 in Enterprise Technology.
“The work of democratizing AI for our financial institution clients is a mix of passion and endless forward momentum. We’re thankful to those who believe in us and who have supported us from the start – colleagues, clients, partners, investors, mentors, and beyond,” Kashyap said. “We are mission-focused and have no intention of slowing down anytime soon.”
“It’s rewarding to see hard work being recognized, especially when others see our mission and vision as transformative. The ethical creation and application of Conversational AI has limitless potential in this space, and we’re still only in the nascent stages of the AI movement,” McEachern said.

Here, There, and Everywhere
Posh hosted the inaugural offsite, flying all Poshies to Scottsdale, Arizona for a few days of learning, bonding, and activities.
Poshies collaborated in two working sessions to create a vision for the future, supported by co-founder and CEO Karan Kashyap, who enthusiastically endorsed the team’s vision while inviting the team to “create the future” as rapid growth continues. Additionally, the team engaged in diverse and exciting activities throughout Scottsdale, including horseback riding, ATVing, wine tasting, hiking, and more.
“When I was given the opportunity to work for Posh, I was a little nervous that I would feel disconnected working remotely. The connection and friendships I’ve gained in these short 5 months is nothing short of a blessing. Super grateful to work with such kind, intelligent people, and I look forward to growing with the company!” Melissa Blevins, Client Success Manager.
Learning, Growing, and Coming Together
Poshies are encouraged and provided the opportunity to engage in continuous learning. Team members attended Grace Hopper, AfroTech, and the Women in Technology Summit, among others.
“The Women in Technology Summit was really great! We had a chance to hear from industry thought leaders from both the business and tech side on motivations, inspirations, and skill building,” said Daniele. “My favorite session from the conference was Strategies for Being Culture First in a Hybrid First Company. A lot of insightful and thought-provoking ideas were shared and I look forward to using some of them to make a positive contribution at Posh.” Read more here.
“Being here at AfroTech surrounded by so many accomplished individuals has highlighted how important diversity in the workplace is. Seeing the impact Black people have made in the tech space has been truly incredible. As a Black woman, I am proud to work at Posh where we are serious about prioritizing diversity and uplifting minorities in the tech space,” said Eleni Burrell.
